The Hose

This is what we do. Every. Single. Day.

Jack loves water and dirt. He especially loves what happens when water and dirt get together. Aaaaahhhh... mud. He has almost destroyed my mint bed, carving out little rivers and canyons, which is actually OK because it has been so hot and dry lately, the mint may not have survived otherwise.

Sometimes, he decides that there isn't enough dirt mixed in, so he'll go find some from another part of the yard and mix it in. This is, of course, very serious business.

Sam, who's always happy just to be included, gets in on the action as much as he can this point. Next summer, I fear for the death of my entire yard. Meanwhile, when his feet are dirty, they are happy.

When his mommy sees those toes, dirty or otherwise, she's happy too.
